Started building my Stratus this past week. I have to give a BIG LARGE ENORMOUS kudos to whoever wrote the manual! You open the box and see all the parts and think to yourself "how in the world am I going to be able to put this together?!!", then you open the book and see how easy they have made it! My 2 year old could build this copter with those instructions!!

Can't wait to get everything together!!

Me too!
If you haven't already gotten a HD 6" extension, get one soon as you need it for the elevator servo.
The manual is awesome!

Good to hear that Terry. They did a lot of work to make the instructions better as it seems that assembly issue are one of the #1 reasons for problems. Those instructions should help to eliminate problems.

One of our local wiz kids has been flying his new Stratus now for 3 weeks and he assembled it all himself. He is about 17 and his previous heli's where Raptors. He did a great job on assembly and it is flying like a Swiss watch. It sounds and looks perfect in the air and I am sure it will last a heck of a long time.

Speak up if you find any issues or have any problems. Hope you have fun with the build!

That's right, Stratus manual is realy better than previous glow X-cell one i built in the past :D

It's also possible to improve it  per exemple with some add of 3D drawing

Basically +10-10 & 6 degrees of cyclic and an 'S' curve pitch curve. YS 80, 501 and GV 1, 9252's and all V's.
Punchout is spectacular! The missing pound from the Fury is noticeable.
One thing HC showed me I didn't know is to make sure the washout arms are level before you put the links on the head at mid-stick..
Big Tip; Don't install the tank until AFTER you've mounted your muffler, you may have to relocate it. Those square stick on 'feet' can be bought at Home Depot if you need to redo it.
Mine was made up with a three line tank that I didn't like anyway but burning a hole through it because I cheaped out is still a PITA. At least I have two more tanks..

Can you tell me more of this S type pitch curve. I have never heard of that before. I have always tried to keep mine linear.

The S-Curve is basically a fance word to changing you Pitch curves from something like 0 25 50 75 100 which is what I like the feel of to a 0 15 50 85 100 curve. Makes it more sensitive around center. I dont like it personally.

S curve can make it less sensitive around center also. All that takes is moving the precentages around center closer to the mid point.
