Hi Fokes..
How du you know when your Lipo is empty/down with the new Spektrum reciever for 8volt... Do you simple fly a couple of flights and charge to see how much the drain is?
Cheers JKJ

you can check your voltage on the Lipo "use your charger, volt meter" to get a sense of the battery level.

I know this sounds like overkill, but from my electric heli flying I'm a big fan of EagleTree. I'm going to install an E-logger III and put the receiver pack current through it. With the onboard powerpanel, it will tell me mAh used and pack voltage. I'm going to use a hall effect RPM sensor to check my headspeed settings on the governor and install a secondary head temperature sensor to monitor carbsmart operation. I'm also going to run the carbsmart servo signal through it to log the servo position to make sure that it is in the correct controlling range (i.e. not pegged on rich or lean).
What can I say? I'm a geek.
yeh! way to make one of the lightest 90's on the market a bit fat pig again! :)
On the other hand it would be nice to know all that stuff... im looking forward to the day when its integrated in a transceiver on the heli and communication is two way to your handheld transceiver with real time telemetry updates. :) Yeh im a geek too.

Oh yeah, real porky at 0.7oz; that's less than 0.4% of the heli's overall weight. I don't think the 700 will feel 20g extra (I hope :)).

Oh...haha :D Sorry...thought the system you were talking about was alot heavier than that :) Indeed 20g is nothing :)
