What do you guys think of the new TT.53 motor?

This video talked me into building a Rappy 50 for next summer :Bang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTIlllLInRo&feature=related .Anyone have exp with the new TT motor?I wanna Raptor 50 BAD but don't want to buy a OS.50 cause of the bearing problems :thumbdown:.

The TT53 uses the same size bearing. TT use bearings manufatured by NTN. They may last longer they may not. It looks as though TT have tried to balance the crankshaft better than OS. It might help it might not. I think the bearing is going to wear out in a similar fashion as an OS engine.

Just for interest do YS use the same bearings?

I just had to change mine on my YS50 ST after total failure of the rear one.

Pretty much all .40-.55 size engines use the same bearings. There are a lot of engines that turn more RPMs and generate more HP than the Hyper, but none that eat bearings like that engine! I, along with many others have tried to get to the bottom of this without success. Some Hypers run 300 or more flights without problems and others don't get past the first gallon. Go figure!

I ran 3 gal on my hyper before the bearing failed. i changed nothing but the engine, and after 13 more gal, the 53 is still running strong. i love this engine. team it up with the Align muffler, and you have a powerful combination.

Hi there, I also brought a Rappy 50 V-2 with the H.53 Red Line. Just put it together, engine runs strong so far I like it .
