Hey everyone, I was lookin in the forum's and didn't find anything so I am asking for some help. I have a Bergen 90, with an OS .91SZ-H heli. I have only hovered it a bit and the heli is absolutely wonderful, so much more stable than my HDX 450. I had it goin with a great tank of fuel and it died at a hover, completed my first hovering auto which was pretty neat because I didn't break anything. However not sure what happened, it didn't run out of fuel and when I looked over the heli all I could see wrong was the exhaust appeared to have popped out from one of the O-rings. I am goin to fiddle with it more but I am very new to the Nitro world and would love to hear from some of you guys on where to look, there was plenty of smoke before it cut off and it didn't sputter just shut right off. Hopefully no damage done but haven't pulled it apart yet.

It could have quit due to the mixture being lean. Just cause it was pouring plenty of smoke doesn't mean anything. With a few of the heli fuels, they are using an oil that will smoke the same even when lean. So can't judge the mixture by the smoke. The Oring being pushed out on the muffler had nothing to do with the engine quitting.
It is not uncommon for a brand new engine to just quit first time they are run. It could be a piece of debri from it being machined got into a fuel port and clogged it. I take all new engines apart before installing them in helis. I clean them throughly and get rid of any material left over from the building process at the factory. You would really be surprised at some of the material you find in new engines. It doesn't matter which brand they are, I have found material in all brands when they are new.

I will try a more rich setting on the needle and see how it does, the heli went through a bottle of fuel approx. 14 ounces, in like 6 mins so I think it was way rich and I over compensated. The heli was gone through by Chris Bergen so I am possitive that it is tits on with everything besides my dumb thumbs. I am very new to the Nitro stuff and appreciate your help.
