Those with the 9303, are you using the governor menu to set the rpms, or setting the aux channel of the gov to say the flight mode?

I'm using the governor menu, but I set the speeds up on the governor. I use three speeds one with each of my flight modes with AUX2 set up to turn the governor off. My Governor menu settings are Normal +50% ST-1 0%, and ST-2 -50%. I can use these figures to modify my RPM settings, but I usually don't.

ok thanks, so you can adjust the rpms on the gov from the tx? or just from the gv-1 manually?

Yes, you can adjust the rpm from the transmitter, but I think it's better to set up the governor menu as per my previous post and set the governor for what speeds you want and use the governor menu to modify those speeds. For example if set S3 on the governor at 1850 RPM and decide you want to try something higher or lower you can adjust from that menu.

ah, I see, those are just starting points, I get it. On the GV-1 is one of the wires backwards when using it with JR, I cant remember as its been about a year since I setup or flew a heli.

No, all the wires are the same except the colors are different. Black is negative on Futaba and Brow is negative on JR. Orange is positive on JR while Red is positive on Futaba. JR male plugs will plug right into Futaba female plugs. You will have to remove the little tab on Futaba male plugs to get them to fit into JR female plugs or a JR receiver.

Bob knows how to make it tick!
I was hung up on getting mine the way I needed it, a 10 minute phone call squared me away, and I'm grateful for the help.
Thanks Bob!!

Heya Wayne,

I just got me a new 9303 for my B-day this month. She's a beauty! :glasses:

Kicks the 9C's ass. Took me a little bit to get used to the throttle hold switch being in the back right position. Otherwise, fell right into it.

Maybe if I hadn't gotten the plank version I wouldn't have had the issues I have had.. But Bob got me squared away.
Overall it's a good radio, good feel and no issues besides myself in over a years' use.
