Hi guys a quick question here about the Tower Pro Sg90s servos, My new Belt Cp has E-Sky digital servos installed and I see everyone upgrades to the TP SG90s are these servos also digital and if they are not are they not compatable with my setup?
Thanks

The TP sg90's are not digital. They should wrk fine with your electronics.
The people who have upgraded to TP sg90's have had their Belt cp's for longer and when we first bought ours the digital servos weren't available with Esky.
A lot of people find that the Esky digital servos are good enough too keep. I would say that if they ever start to play up or you break them, then you should get the TP sg90s

Thanks for the info JH, Do you know what the advantages of the digital over the analog servos? I would think that the digital are more precise and discrete in their movements?
Thanks

I got my Belt CP back in May and it came with the new Esky digital servo’s. From my experience they are junk and I strongly suggest you upgrade them. I had the first servo fail after about a week of flying. I was about 6 to 12 inches off the ground learning to hover when this happened. Thanks to the training gear I was able to get back on the ground safely. The second servo failed a couple of weeks latter during a preflight check. I did not even spin up the helicopter. Both servo failures where the same. They were not stripped gears or anything like that. They just quit working. I replaced all three servo’s on the swash to the older Esky 8g servo’s. Never had one of those fail but I did upgrade them to the Tower Pro SG90 servo’s when trying to fix the servo jitter which turned out to be the potentiometers in the stock radio. The response of the helicopter is noticeably quicker with the SG90 servo’s. I still have the Esky digital servo on the tail rotor. Never did have a problem with that one and I have over a 100 flights on it now.

Thanks GCK I have ordered 4 SG90's and also a Volcano ESC/BEC 30a as the stock E-Sky ESCs are also a high failure/ problem part. I know I will be generating enough pilot error caused crashes, I want to avoid the ones caused by weak parts straight away if possible! I plan to go with a T-Rex CNC head/shaft/ DTS upgrade when I need to do crash related repairs.
Thanks for the info

Digital servos are faster and have abit more torque.
Chances are you need a better ESC if you have good digital because they use more amps.
