View Full Version : Phoenix on it's way... what now?

Ok I know a LOT of you use other sims but I feel like Phoenix is the most popular (well from what I've seen in the Blade threads) and I ordered my copy late last week. It should be here one day this week. I went ahead and bought a mic/headphone kit in anticipation for "Online flying".
My questions are:
What else is needed for "normal" set-up?
what else is needed for "Online" play?
any additional tips/ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.
Not sure if it matters or not at this point but I'm a "Blade" guy... I have a CX, CX2(2x) and now a Blade 400.

I've also gone and downloaded all the flying sites from the Social Group... funny thing is I'm not "Up to group" flying status yet. not even CLOSE!! But when I am ready to fly as a group I want to have all my birds in a row.
Thanks for the input! It's still scheduled for today. I don't know HOW but it's still showing today and it's still a whole state away! Got my fingers crossed :)

Got an update just now.. it's "On the truck". I don't know HOW they got it processed from another state, through the "Sorting Facility" and On the Truck to me in less than 4 hours but I'm not complaining.

It was NOT easy coming back to work except for the fact that the MOMENT I opened the package to install it we had a PC die here and I got called back ASAP!!
So it's opened at the house and sitting on the couch!! 25 more minutes and I'm HOME FREE!!

Hey can I "Watch" others flying online without actually flying myself?
Yep go into Spectate mode by pressing space - you can look at others' stick movements when you do this too.
