What are some of you guys using to paint your canopy and make it shiny? I saw a airbrush system for $129 on helihobby, but just wondering what other systems are out there.

I might be wrong, but sometimes, buying stuff that is not directly related to your hobby in a hobby shop costs a lot more... Did you check art/graphic supplies stores first?

Basic setup would be a HVLP touch up gun and a dual action airbrush, provided you have a compressor. Also fuel proof automotive paint can be expensive. If your flying electrics, There's a wide variety of colors available in spray cans that with a little practice can offer good results. Clear paint gives it the "shiny" look.
