HC usb problem solution

I have tried to set up a Helicommand rigid on my laptop - no serial port - easy purchased a usb serial adapter - weird would not connect to helicommand which was fine on desktop with serial port - then I found a pda to usb adapter - turns out this is reallty a serial port to usb adapter I had a belkin version lying around in my study - solved all my conection problems -hope this helps anyone with a laptop connection problem
