Here is the add:

"Century Hawk Sport R/C Helicopter. Fully assembled and RTF. Futaba Receiver - you need your own transmitter. Tethered break-in & set-up and hovered once. No crashes or damage. Helicopter flying is just not for me! $500"

Not knowing much about this helicopter, my understanding is that it is a basic .30 size plastic helicopter, probably not much in the way of hardcore 3D but fairly decent at basic sport flying. I'm not really looking for a nitro helicopter right now, but at the same time if a deal comes along... Ya''ll think the price is a bit much, or is that in line with something that I could stick a spare 2.4 rx in and have a good ol' time with?

The Hawk Sport was a great little 30 heli, but it was not in the same class as the current HAwk Pro with an OS-37 engine.

Without knowing what engine, servos, gyro and receiver it comes with, it is kind of hard to call this one.

But unless it has an OS-37 engine and great servos and a top grade gyro, it sound a bit high. Specially when you consider that you can get a NEW and current HAWK PRO comlete combination for $130.00 more.

I have a Hawk Pro with OS 37 less than 1 gallon thru it.
GY401 with 9254 servo
Futaba 9202s on cyclic and collective
includes a crash kit. Never crashed.

$500

PM me if your interested

Without knowing the electronics on board, $500 sounds a little high for a Sport.

Now.....if he has full 8717's and a Spartan Gyro in there.......snap it up

He has an O.S. 32, GY240, Hitec 425BB servos, all basic stuff. It looks like he is asking around $50-ish under brand new price, but it does come with a crash kit. Everything in life is negotiable. I might at least take a look at it, he lives a half hour from me. When it comes to helicopters, I would rather buy new or if used be able to hold it in my hands before pushing the loot. Dubya's deal looks better, but I hate not being able to hold it in my hands.

i actually have a hawk sport, traded it for my walkera 60, only got the tank and engine with it. i had to buy all elecs for it. it would be a great machine when setup properly for 3d. mine has a tt39 in it. 500 is a bit steap ... mind you you can upgrade them to the hawk pro without a hassle. tons of parts out there and as gyros are goin they are very cheap in price if your budget can handle it. come to find out a few months go by and i got my walkera back from the same guy... now i got both helis. anyways try finding a heli that you might be able to do a trade for.. or look for a hawk sport around the 250 area...
good luck in your endeavors.

Thanks. I'm actually not going to pursue this one. I'm in the market for a house, taking advantage of all the low low prices on houses right now so I don't want to burn cash on helicopters. Main concern, a good yard for flying... :)
