I'm looking into buying a 600size heli in the near future. I've seen the Trex 600 already but I want something different. I know Align has parts everywhere and they are pretty reliable and proven. So..for those who have the E620, whats you rating. Here are some questions I have. I have quite few because I haven't seen anyone with this heli or heard any reviews.
Questions:
Is it good quality heli?
Is it good for 3D straight out the box. (Flys like logo, trex 600 or POS?)
Is the build straight forward?
How's the quality of parts? Any problems with stock ESC, BEC, motor?
Pricing of parts and availability?
What does the general cost for 10s setup.

Pretty much any/all pros/cons of the heli. BE HONEST.

I do not have the Swift 620SE, but I have a lot of hard flights on its' smaller sibling - the Swift Carbon 550SE, with their 600+ motor, their 80A ESC, on 6S/5000mah/Thunder Power Extreme battery packs. I find it performs hard 3D better then the T600E on 6S packs. It has become one of my all time favorite helis.

I understand the 620SE is much the same, but geared for the higher power of their 8S and 10s systems (650 motor & HV85A ESC. It has even more CNC and Carbon parts to make it even more capable of handling the power of these systems.

You will find a number of fellows flying them, that frequent the RCGroups electric heli forum. They all seem quite happy with them.

Hi F1Atom,

I have a 620SE. I have before a logo14 and T600. I like the logo14 for the quality flight and the strength.
The 620SE flight very good but it is not strength. The aluminium is a bad quality and the frame very slim.
The axis (or center ?) is also a bad quality. I have replace by the axe of logo14. The swashplate had a lot of free between the cell. I have a replace the swashplate century by a align 600.

For conclude, In flight is good but the quality is bad (carbon, alu (not cnc), etc.)

That suxs. I was hoping the Swift 620 would good. Maybe I should try the logo 600 instead?

Thanks for your response
More are still welcome.

May I suggest that you get more then one opinion on it?

Have you checked out the electric heli forum on RCG and GyroAl suggested??

When you said "the frame very slim". They are made of Carbon Fiber that is the same thickness as that in the T600N Pro!!!??? Works very well for me and the design, with it's triple bearing mainshaft set-up, makes for a very rigid and light airframe.

What did you find lacking in their CNC rotor head? I understand that some of the first ones had defective hubs but they were replaced at N/C and the one I have was perfect.

I will not go into how dissappointed I was with the Logo 20 (big brother to the 14).

Looks pretty capable to me here:

Heck, even the basic, and relatively inexpensive Swift 16 is pretty capable:

Hello Rav50,
It's right, I have the firsts 620 :(
In the box there were not some items (screws, forgot 2 holes in the items alu !!!, the balde grip was 'slightly' twisted)
For the carbon, the fiberglass is more rigid... On the mime, of course.
The pivots is very hard. The ring between 2 bearings is too little.
If you want, you can translate my blog :

http://helicoetech.unblog.fr/2008/01/24/montage-swift-620se-carbon/

and look this for example :

I don't know the logo20. But the 14 is more light.

I repeat, the century is good in flight, but for the items, the quality is middle or bad.
I like on the swift 620 :
triple bearing and the new feathering spindle.
