I heard there was an issue using this with heli's, something about latency on the pitch mix.... I've done a search on here and only found where people are breaking their antennas.

Please post all experiences good, bad, or ugly.

Thanks in advance,

It has more latency that the XP9303 in PPM mode, but a bit less than PCM mode. And more than an X9303.

And the X9303 has Servo Sync, which reorders how the channels are sent to reduce instaactions between the pitch servo and the other two. In the XP9303, you get Aileron and Elevator sent side by side, then rudder and gear, THEN Pitch info gets sent. Servo Synch causes all three cyclic signals to be sent in a batch.

In a practical sense, I wouldn't worry about it.

Agreed. But trying to provide the full info. :)

Is it worth buying a module for a xp 9303 to use 2.4 ghz system? Or is it better to downgrade to a DX7 SE?

I would do the XP with module. Better programming.

The SE only provides benefits for the high end Rxes (AR7100 and above) and loses the trainer port so no buddy box or sim capability.

OK thanks...I was browsing around for a module, How is it a futaba compatible module cost about $109 and JR compatible module cost about $299?

It's worth it?
Futaba was way late with bringing the technology to market, they are trying to gain market share.
take from that what you will.

I have a 9303 with 2.4 module. Flew it for a long time with 72 module and various PCM RXs. Did test flights back-back during the switchover. NO DIFFERENCE. None.

People certainly flew 72/Module/PCM for years before the word latency ever became part of RC nomenclature. Top pilots, demos, you name it.

I also have a DX7 (non-SE). Clearly lower latency. Which I like.

But... would I give up the programming, size, weight, feel, of my 9303 for the DX7's speed? Not really.

Anywya, that's your choice: The 9303 + module is no faster/slower than 72/PCM, which we all flew for YEARS. The DX7 is faster, but not as nice a radio, and the 7SE faster still.

I personally resolved the dilemma with a 12X :)
