This has probably been asked before, but I did a quick search for 319 and could not find it.

Will the 319 Synth RX work with the 14Mz?

Thank you in advance!!

It should work. The 14MZ is suppose to work with all the 1024 PCM receivers.

My 14 works fine with my old 309 RX.

Cool, I guess I will keep my 2 319's then. Thank you for the info.

ALL previous Futaba receivers will work (except the VERY old 512 PCM). I've used 309, 319, 148DP, 149DP, 148DF all without a problem.

You will have to set the modulation to 1024, that is the only hitch.

I have a dumb question to. why use a radio with the new framerate that makes everything instant with the old style recievers.

I don't understand clearly what your question is. But Futaba made the radio so that it could still be used with the 1024 and PPM receivers. If they had not done that, they would have not sold many radios. Everyone would not want to buy the radio and then buy receivers just to use in all there other models.

When the 14MZ is in 1024 PCM or PPM mode. It works just like the radios that preceded it. When it is in G3 or 2048 mode. That is when the radio is doing what it was designed to do.

Thats the point what have a 2000 dollar radio but use a slow frame rate on all of your recievers. I am sure there is more to that radio than just the speed but still. I would buy another extreme for a spare but thats just me.

Even in PPM and PCM modes the 14MZ still has faster gimbal sampling and responds quicker to inputs. That was one of the first things I noticed when I got this radio and used it on a heli with PPM. I moved up from a 9CHP, and the difference was quite noticeable and agreeable. :smokin:

ohh I see. I guess I need to go and buy or borrow one to see the difference. Thanks for the input and sorry for hijacking your thread Will.

Don't do it John.

Shannon loaned me his with his Ion-X and now I sold my Stratus to buy one of my own. I have been flying the 9Z for a year + and the difference is AMAZING11 The 14 may look big and clunky but I have never held a radio in my hands that felt more natural, balanced and just right. Futaba has a 100% winner with the 14Mz. :smokin:

Well now I guess I need to work a little overtime and jump off the cliff with everyone else :D
