I belive this should probably be grouped with the co-axles......

Moderator should probably add this bird as a sub-catagory already.

It going to be HUGE!

Looking forward to the release date.

i think that the cx forum should stay where it is.

What they are saying is that there should be a BXC/CX2 forum and there should be a new and separate mCX forum.

The mCX forum will accommodate the new coaxial heli.

http://www.helifreak.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=61432&stc=1&d=1220486717

The CX2 is about 8 oz.
The mCX is about 1 oz.

Hope that helps with a size comparison.

I'm looking forward to picking up this 1 ounce bird. An HH rep on another site said the other day they were on track to ship by the end of September.

Save yourself $60 and order a honeybee mk3 from xheli. It is EXACTLY the same heli and It comes with 2 cell lipo and charger instead of crappy ni-mh. It really does double flight times. Also use free shipping coupon cjfree2
It ships ground ups.

From what I have heard from people who work at stores they should have no problem having a good stock of these, see some stores saying they have them now also.

cbrian4,

Totally different heli Blade mCX is way smaller and also is 2.4ghz, that you can bind to your existing Spektrum or JR radio. Helis runs off Lipo, though just a cell to save on weight and heck being this small don't need a 2 cell. Really are you are doing is trying to advertise the store you mention in your post.

My LHS had these, he must have just got them because he didn't unpack the bind and play ones yet.

This little thing is awesome. It flies incredibly well! It hovers very easily without having to manage the throttle; It just hangs in the air inches above whatever you want. The blade cx2 was too big for me to really have fun around the house, but this litte heli is just amazing.

I used my DX7, it linked up without any problems. I'm running 6 mins to be safe on the lipo, but they are only $11. You can only charge with the 4AA charger, no AC, no adapter that I know of to charge it elsewhere.

I dunno if this guy gave me the wrong price, but he sold me the bind and play model for $89.

I'm really impressed with the mCX, I resisted buying it because it was so small I thought it would be squirreling and wobbling around the room. I saw my lhs fly one and BAAM, I slapped a hundred bucks down and took home the bind-n-fly version. I had some difficulty binding it with my Etomic Ember tx, the MCX's instructions says to do so using the tx's instructions which is to turn on the tx on with the throttle down, then plug the battery in the heli then move the right stick in any direction. It didn't work. Since I wasn't worried about losing any fingers I plugged in the heli first and then turned on the tx, and worked the sticks, then it did bind. After throttling up it hopped easily into the air and it was smooth as silk. It handled just like the larger, original CX2 I have but didn't get pushed around by its own turbulence. The CX2 pushes a lot of air and in confined spaces it tends to suck itself toward the walls with the vortex currents it makes. The MCX is so small it doesn't have this problem and any size room has plenty of smooth air, landings were spot-on. Its so smooth I was just grinning following it around the house and down the halls, felt like I was following a picture cut-out. The tail does tend to drift like coaxials do but some trim on the tx took care of it. Moves forward,back,side-to-side at a good speed, piroettes were fast. Flight times were good, similar to that of the CX2. Its a very light bird and appears fragile but its the lightness which should keep it from breaking. It looks like it uses the same components that Etomic uses, just configured differently. I have an Etomic Vapor and Ember and the electronics on them still work perfect after a lot of abuse so I feel confident the MCX will hold up well. In any case repairs would be easy and cheap. It seems kind of pricey but thats the cost of new technology,it'll come down someday. I feel its well worth the cost.

Excuse me corwin, if you would have read a little more, you would have seen that i was referring to when railroad 11 said thought he would get a night ranger 2. Please, in the future read more before posting negative comments about others, im not trying to advertise. On the flip side i did pick up an mcx today and its a nice little bugger. I just wish it could fly a bit faster.

I picked up one today too. It flies fantastic until the battery gets low it is hard to control. Also it's a inside only Heli I tried flying it outside with no discernable wind and it was gettig tossed. Inside on a good battery is quite entertaining however. It's a breeze to fly and it's quite stable. I am pretty satisfied with it. I am wondering how long term quality will be but it's not too expensive to replace the entire airframe. It's a nice relaxing flight after flying a 450 or my 600...

Can't wait to put my hand on one BNF.... For those who bought one, did you get a spare battery? Are they available? Looked like it would take a while before you could buy the battery alone.
