I have the fan mounted on the fan hub and trying to put it on my OS91SZ Hyper. I have blue locktite on the threads of the motor and the shaft behind the threads. As soon as the hub gets past the threads and tries to "seat" onto the shaft of the motor, the shaft digs into the hub as the hole doesn't appear to be machined enough for clearance. I've tried several times, but each time I remove it I have shavings of metal in the woodruff key area of the motor shaft, and the fan hub inside looks marred. I don't really want to start drilling on the fan hub as I don't have a press and I dont trust that I will get it true enough. Is this a defective part or am I missing something here?

Also, the bearing that is in my clutch bell, the one that is just above the "e" clip is notchy. Does that matter?
thx
John

finally got the fan hub on. had to put it on and take it off about 20x :arggg:
each time it bored it out a tiny bit more and eventually it was able to seat itself against the front bearing.

I really hate re-engineering/re-working things. :thinking

if you heat up the hub it will go right on. if you ever do another.
