Hello all.
I'm fairly new to helis - flew lots on the sim but just now really wanting one.
I'm real interested in the small electrics & so far I have had the Blade CX - taking it back Monday & trading for the CP but in the process I have also purchased the Revo from Hobby Lobby.
Can anyone tell me anything about the Revo? I'm sure theres someone on here with one but I havent found anything yet.

RS Rogers, why are you taking the BCX back? Aren't you trading a simple Heli for a more complex model for a beginner?
I'm also new at Helis and want the best model to learn with.

Hello John,
When I first got the CX I just wanted something simple to play with without spending alot of time (pressed for that stuff now days) and didnt really want to spend alot of money either since I have a fortune in "planks" as they call them here but when I got it home & had it hovering in the living room in 10 min (after battery charge of coarse) 2 things happened. I got bit by the heli bug and wanted the real thing and I found a few things I didnt care for on the CX.
I noticed on the CX when rudder input is given the heli lost or gained altitude quick due to one of the blades speeding up or slowing down to turn the nose. Almost took out the light once & the dogs ears as well  and it was difficult to get any other lipo I had in the battery compartment. All my Thunderpower 7.4's were to wide. These were just all personal dislikes but if it is what a person wants there was nothing wrong with the CX. It was very stable.
Since swaping it for the CP I have it hovering with no problems & for $219 I personally think its a great deal. I spent a little time experimenting & tweeking & it hoveres as well as anything on the sim.
After experiencing both my PERSONAL thoughts are this:
If your an experienced heli pilot & want one to play with or a beginner who dosent want to advance any further than a twin rotor the CX would be great.
If your a beginner & want to really get into helis, get a simulator (allmost the same $$ as the CX & crashes are cheap) & learn the inputs there then go for the real thing because I think the CX would give you a false sense of security. Sure it takes a little tweeking (on the stock parts) but its cheaper to bang on the ground that the fancy ones and besides I figure if its harder than the good ones when I get the Revo going it should be a breeze
These were all just personal thoughts so please take them as that and if you decide to go the rt. I did I can fill you in on what few things did to the CP.
Good luck on what ever you choose & watch out for the heli bug

Steve DOES have a lot of planks. He is the designer and builder of RSEngines that made a bunch of conversions and parts for gasser planks. He has a LOT of NICE planks to. As you know Steve, I to love planks and helis both to. The helis are a lot more intoxicating, but the planks are a lot of fun to.
I am very glad to see you getting into helis Steve. Can't wait to fly with you again this year!!! Call me any time man.
