Well, I was leaving for B'ham today and my employer decided that I couldn't get my check today and would have to wait until tomorrow.... some new corporate rule. So, I might not be able to make it to B'ham afterall. To say the least..... I'm more than PO'ed right now. I had some business/bills to take care of before I left and can't do that until tomorrow.

Rob,
Go ahead and write the checks and run a heavy magnet over the tracking numbers. When they try to process them the machine will kick them out to be processed by hand and give you an extra day or two. hehe

Field Report!!
By 12 Noon today, there were right at 100 pilots registered. Alot of 'freaks' were there, as well as H of C, and K.. (you know who I'm talkin about. 10 Pilot stations available, however, the max I saw in use were 8. Everything is running smoothly, weather not to cold and not to hot!! Wind was up alittle today (15-18mph from the NW), however, no one seemed bothered with it.
Man oh man, tons of TREXS, flying and for sell by the 3 vendors on site! MA intoducted their new 50 size Nitro machine as well. I think everyone will be pleased to know that those carbon frames will take a lickin'!! The construction of the frames assembly is well thought out, built to take abuse!!! AND..the motor sits up front, belt drive main shaft AND tail!!! Looks like a winner to me for the 50 size crowd!!
As I was leaving today around 2pm, there were more folks arriving. If I was a betting person, I would bet that by tomorrow noon, David will have over 150 pilots registered at this years event!!
More tomorrow..
Yeah, I'll post some pics later tomorrow.
Meanwhile, be sure to look for my District 5 report on this event and others at the AMA District 5 Website.

123 registered pilots as of Friday evening 3/17/06. Weather is suppose to be nice again tomorrow. Temps in the low 60s. Everyone having a great time. Lots of fuel being burned today. Tommorrow looks to be more of the same.
Also we held H to the C a baby shower today. He got lots of great gifts that Kimberly and him can use when there new arrivals get here sometime in July.

151 registered pilots. I am guessing couple of hundred spectators today. Some awesome flying this afternoon. The top pilots took a couple of flight stations and had a dueling helicopters deal going this afternoon. Just taking there best and showing how it is done. The spectators were loving it and whooping and hollering at the intensity of the flights being put on. Several times it appeared that helis were crashed, but the pilots kept them out the dirt and in one piece. I would like to thank everyone that attended. I look forward to putting on the event each year. Everyone that attends always makes this a special event.
Thanks
