Maybe flight stations could be added next year so everyone isn't literally flying on top of one another?
Several pilots mentioned that to me at the event. The stations were 70 feet apart. Next year I will increase the spacing and do away with a couple of stations. I will also setup a Hover only area for beginners or pilots that need to just hover to check out there heli.
I try to listen to suggestions from the attending pilots and make them comfortable.
Thanks to everyone that attended.

Man David that event was awesome and you ran it alone. I had a great time this weekend and it was good to see everyone again. I also wanted to say thanks to Jeff from MA for helping me out all weekend. On saterday I had a little problem and it Jeff was there getting me the parts that I needed and helping me put it all back together so I could get a few more flights in and get the oppurtunity to fly with Bobby after Marcus and eric had laid it down.

as for the guy that got hit. i had a good view of it as well. basically he was flying right in front of himself and either lost it or something let go. it started pirouetting and flipping and working its way towards him and his spotter. it hit him pretty good. he seemed to be taking it pretty good but he got a back and shoulder full of heli.

Thanks David and the Bham krew.
I had a great time though I did get a little wind burn. Really enjoyed seeing folks I met at last seasons fun flys and met alot of new folks to see at this years funflys. Really great event with SO many good pilots. Also got some really good deals from the vendors that attended. If this event gets any bigger, (you can bet it will) they'll need golf carts like they used at IRCHA.
Thanks for a fun weekend!

The only thing that event needs is ramps for the vehicles so we good drive up and down the whole field. Golf carts would be a plus! :smokin:

It was great meeting all you guys! I look forward to many more.
I collected $90.00 for the "Temp the Ditch Relief Fund" and will be awarding it to Zack. It was his first crash and he put his Fury in the ditch pretty hard.

I was flying a station down when he hit himself with the heli. Not sure what happenned, I just saw the tail end of it myself, but Steve McFall who was spotting for me saw it. He said the guy went down in the ditch, then came up piroetting and the heli came after him. He managed to get his back turned to the heli when it struck him in the shoulder area.
Afterwords, he was motioning that he was OK when David asked him over the PA. I think he was lucky that it wasn't warm out because his heavy jacket probably took the brunt of the hit.
Anyway, great event David! Definately fun to catch up with all you guys again this year.

Wow...This was my first real fun-fly to attend...and definitely the first fly-in to see really skilled heli pilots. Unfortunately, nobody told me that this would lead to an addiction. I've got to get one. :D
Here are some more pictures from the event. I can't believe that you guys will fly at night. That's insane...but cool.
