Hey guys,

I'm kinda new to the heli thing & have been checking out the Revo from hobby lobby ( http://www.hobby-lobby.com/revo.htm )

What do you think & does anyone have one that could share a little info.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,

It looks like a Shogun V1 clone with the torque tube tail drive. I have no knowledge of the durability of the Revo's torque tube drive but the tail rotor drive of the Shogun V1 was abysmal. Even the later V1s with the bevel gears had very poor reliability. I think a belt drive heli such as the T-Rex or Shogun V2 is the only way to go with this size heli.

True to that. I had the shogun V1 and upgraded it to the bevel gears and it still sucked. Go for the Trex or MX 400 good little helis.

If you plan on 'beating it to death' get a long handled hammer... carbon splinters are a PITA to remove. :)

Yea, a four pound long handled hammer. Those frames look tough. :)

It look like a Walkera NO. 35. I think it is better to get some with belt driven tail rotor, like the X400
