Hi to all, I need help. I have a stryker brushless, that I've had nothing but problems, with. I first was geting interferance with the park flyer radio that came with it. crashed twice, glued it back together. when I flew this weekend , no interference, but the motor kept stopping in flight. It was a hot day. So I went home and reprogramed my speed controller, it made no diff. I even tryed new battery. As I was bench testing it in the house it kept stopping , then smoke came out of motor So I unpluged the battery real fast. Any Ideas how to tell what is Going on, is there a way to test motor and speed controller??? I would appreciate any input on this problem, thanks John:thinking

Those ESC are known to spontaneously combust ... it's entertaining when it happens in the air, but it usually happens on the ground.

Chances are you got some dirt in the motor in one of the crashes and it causes the motor to bind and overheat, thus the smoke... use compressed air at one end, with a vac at the other to dislodge it... you can also try a new ESC. These work great:

You'll need to do a little soldering, so get some 3mm to 3.5mm bullet connectors and some heat shrink tubing.
