When I want to just veg and not fly my helis, I usually pull out my combat wing or Foamtana and mess around. I was thinking of building one from scratch from 6mm depron (the plans are endless) but could never figure out what electronics (motor/esc/prop) make a good combo. There has got to be an easy way to determine this?

For example: I was going to build a foamie with an AXI 2212 and looks like I need 10 Amp ESC??? Which props can I run on a 3S Lipo? 11x4.7? Can I experiment with a 12x6?

You can experiment with whatever you want, I usually go with a little higher rated speed control to be on the safe side. Hook an ammeter in series and bench test it with different props to make sure that you wont overdraw the battery esc or motor.
