where to buy?

alright. i've played around on my sim long enough and i'm ready to buy the real stuff. the shop where i live (columbus, ga) isn't big on heli's, so i'll be buying over the internet.

what shop in your opinions has the best balance of "one stop shopping", customer support, and price?

looking at a raptor 50 / futaba 9 ch. i'll need all the glue, starter, batteries, glowstart, plugs, field box, gyro etc.

also haven't decided on an engine yet. what's the best performer (price not the main issue) for a raptor 50?

Well since your stationed in Columbus at Fort Benning.
I will suggest Ray's Heli Resources in Statesboro. Ray is great dude with great prices and service. Just send him a list of what you want and he can have everything in 2-3 days. He stocks mostly MA parts and helis. But I have seen him at events with other brands in his trailer also.

Also another place is Rick's R/C, they have an ad here on Helifreak also.

I second That. Three of new guys at my club bought raptor 50's built and RTF from Ray and have been very happy with his service. I have been dealing with Ray for about two years. TOP NOTCH SERVICE :D

I have had good luck with www.heliproz.com. Since I do not have a local hobby shop that are into helicopters, Heliproz has been a good source of after the sale help. A good time to call is Wed through Fri for assistance with setup. They helped me setup my throttle and pitch curves over the phone in about 10 minutes.
