Hi guys,

My Trex600E is developping high frequency vibes especially at the tail, I've replaced the tail rotor blades and the flybar to no avail. I also checked the feathering shaft by rotating it on a drill.
I'm wondering if the dampeners need to be replaced, dunno how often these things need to be changed, I have the green K&B dampeners.

If someone has a suggestion, I'll appreciate.

try taking all the blades and fly bar paddles off, if you still have vibrations check the main gear, if it looks like its wobbling, try reseating it on the one way bearing block. if that doesn't work just the main shaft, if its straight try a new main gear. If you are using a belt drive tail system make sure the belt and everything the belt touches is clean.

Has the heli been crashed. Sometimes either the feathering shaft or the main shaft appears straight when rolled on a piece of glass but there still is enough of a bend to create some vibration. Try changing both out. Is the main gear wearing out?

Something else, are the blades balanced and free of bug guts?

Just some thoughts to conside?

Hi guys,

Thank you for the replies, the main blades are well balanced, the main gear has maybe 50 flights and all its teeth.
I'll go ahead & replace the main shaft, then the feathering shaft.
I use governor mode with 70% of throttle, as I'm flying a scale MD-500E I'd like to lower the HS more and plan on setting the throttle to 50%,
Does this sound good?

Main shaft & feathering shaft replaced, no improvement.
I then replaced the tail rotor shaft, less vibes but the tail is waging right left, replaced the GY 401, same.
Put back the original tail rotor shaft & new bearings, tail keeps on waging, have to increase gyro gain to 95 % (was 77% before) in order to stop the tail wag.
Now I don't know what to think, I must have the heli curse.
BTW i'm on governor mode, throttle pitch set to 70% with governor gain 14.

How is your tail servo? Maybe that is damaged or worn out.

The only thing that remains is the 9254 servo that has some broken teeth after it crased due to a voltage cutoff 2 weeks ago, the heli works fine though until today.

Maybe you should repost on the 600e section as you would likely get more views and maybe more help with your issue

Guess I'll do so.
