Hey when I go full throttle it won't go any higher then a foot off the ground. What is going on with that? I acts as if it doesn't have enough power. Man and I just got this this in the mail today too!! :arggg:

UAV_PILOT,

Could be a couple things....

1) Check your gear mesh, if it is to tight, the motor can't get the head up to speed and the motor will get super hot, super fast. (use two plies of paper to set the mesh)
If you set the heli down and spin the head with your fingers, it should make 2-3 revolutions freely before stopping. The newer the motor is, the faster it will stop, but if the gear mesh is to tight, then it won't make but about a 1/2 to 1 turn before binding up.

2) Blades - The blades are just molded plastic, if they are placed in the bottom of a box and something heavy is set on top of them, it can "flatten" the pitch out of them. If you have a brand new set, try installing them.

3) Motor - It is possible that the stock 370 is bad.... not likely... but possible... I always have a spare main and tail motor laying around... You never know when you will lose one.

I'm banking on issue 1 or issue 2.... more than likely it's not issue 3.

I will try all of those things and see what happens. The blades seem really flimsy though. They aren't as hard as my blades for my co commanche.

Gear mesh is a definite possibility. Always good to check that. Also sometimes the batteries need a few charge/discharge cycles before they really work well.

No, they are not as "hard" but it keeps them from being brittle and breaking when they hit something....

Let us know how it all works out!!

Well I checked the gear mesh and it was a little tight. I am using the 2 cell 800mah lipos that came with my co commanche and it is flying great now. I can hover it way above my house and it does foward flight smoothly. So much easier to fly then my old honey bee king 2.
