Is there a specific remote glow plug that works best on Stratus - I understand there have been some problems with remote glow plugs - just finished my stratus and wanted to install one.
thanks,

I never use them as they can sometimes be a source of some pretty bad RFI. I use a lab probe alligator clip that will reach the plug from the muffler side so there's no addtional hole in the canopy and I get no extra weight or radio noise.

I was wondering if you have, by any chance, a picture of the lab probe alligator you are talking about? How do you ground it?

the revolutions remote glow is great...i am running the viper head and one conected to each plug.....with no problems what so ever...i run these on every glow heli i got....only reason i run one to each plug is to check my plugs with a meter if needed...faster than taking off the canopy ..besides ther only a meer 8 dallars and dont look bad at all..the rubber boot keeps them sealed aginst your plug and helps prevent oil and grease from getting under the remote adaptor....part number rvo1015

I recomend cutting the canopy underneath and using the the Duralite glowdriver with the 90' clip. The cut out is not very bad and you can service the plug without removing the canopy. If you do not want to cut the canopy the TT remote works great for a while. If you need help or pics of the cut out we can dig up one.

Skip the remote glow and just do the cutout. Keep it simple and easy.

I use the radio south glow box with a special alligator clip. The clip is long enough and easy to use and it reaches both plugs from the bottom of the heli (through the opening in the lower side of the frame). I didn't have to trim the canopy for this. However, I need to lean the heli over in order to be able to plug the clip. It is uncomfortable to most people, but I don't like remotes myself.
