Hi,
i want to try a new Rotor Head on my Tempest FAI.
But i´m not sure wich one.
Should i give the new Stratus Head a try or better the Tempest 3D Head?
What are the differents between this two Heads?
The FAI Head is a Full Metal Head - also the 3D Head (i think so - right?).
Is the Stratus Head also Full Metal?
What do you MA Experts think and suggest for me.
Does anyone have Partnumbers from the Complete Heads?
Could only find one Complete Head - the Tempest FAI.
Flyingstyle will be aggressive 3D.
Thanks for your help

The Stratus/Extreme head is the metal head block and plastic blade grips with a C clipped axle. New fly bar carrier that is longer and is connected.
The Tempest 3D head is basically the same as the FAI head except the bell mixers are on the pitch arm instead of the fly. You need a new fly bar carrier and pitch arms and bell mixers to change FAI head to 3D head.

Heliproz has 123-10 I don't know where they came up with that number
These are the parts on the 3D that are different from the FAI head

Hi,
thanks David - think i will convert my FAI to the 3D Head first.
Is there a Partnumber available for a Complete Stratus Rotor Head?
thanks

Nope no complete part number for the metal head block with plastic grips and clipped axle with the new flybar carrier rotor head.
To make what your calling a Stratus head.
You would need a
Metal head block
Plastic grips
New Fly bar carrier
Bell mixers
Clipped axle
You could use all the bearings from the Tempest head you have now. You could use the metal grips also. Then you just need the head block and fly bar carrier and pitch arms and bell mixers.

Thanks again David - this helps a lot.
Think i study a Stratus Manual for the Parts i need.
But first i try the 3 Parts needed for the 3D Head.
thx
