Got to fly the Outrage 550---Awesome!!

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on HC's new 550 this past Sunday and I am super impressed and excited. Guys, this chopper is gonna rock the market. It's size is just right.... the tail feels like a large machine and the power was plenty. Very quick to move also. One of those choppers that when you first fly you have to check yourself because of the quickness!!!

Good job to Charley on the developement of this machine. I cannot wait till this one hits the shelves and I can get my hands on one!!!!

If this is any indication of whats to come for Outrage in the future I am all in!!

CC80 will work just fine. You will need to run a separate BEC. :thumbup:

Why is HC running a 125 esc if an 80 is enough? Does the 85HV come with a built in bec?

The CC80 needs to be downrated if you run it on 6S so might not be enough ESC for a 550 bladed heli. Also the BEC in the phoenix line can't be used over 3S.

The 85HV has no BEC.

The CC80 needs to be downrated if you run it on 6S so might not be enough ESC for a 550 bladed heli. That's the first time I've ever heard that mentioned. Plenty of guys use the CC80 in Swift 16 on 6S, so I'd be curious to know where that info comes from?

I use a cc phoenix 80 in my E550 raptor. What is it I'm supposed to do? I had it in my swift for over a year and a half on 6S and a z30-1100 same stuff as on the outrage and my raptor. Heck, the align 600E uses a 75 amp esc on 6S and its swinging 600mm blades.

I used a CC80 for several years on my Logo 10 on 6S lipo with Neu 1910. No problems with it ever.

So is it downrated or not? I would love to be able to save a few bucks buy not buying the 85HV. I won't be going over 6s either.

I would say "NO", based on my (and others) experiences. But your best bet is to contact Castle Creations directly and ask them. They'd know better than anyone. :)

One of the main reasons some of us were using CC125's and others CC85 is that CC controllers are hard to find these days...I believe the HV30's are made from an"unobtainiun-alloy" redering them most difficult to find...the HV 85's just got another production run so they are slowly starting to show up in stores again...

I could only get a hold of 2 CC-125's and 2 HV-85's at first...we did scrounge up another one for Craig's machine and got the Align ESC off of it during IRCHA...

I am not 100% positive...but the only thing I know that is downgraded on the 80 using 6S is that the BEC can not be used...but need to talk with CC this week about a couple of things that we discussed with them at IRCHA...so when I do...I will ask about the 80 on 6S....
