I already have a DX7, plus you can't ANYTHING for spektrum over here, and international shipping from helihobby is just too expensive. You can take the case off and then the size and weight is comparable to an AR6100E. Not looking to spend a whole lot of money cuz I'll be mainly using my DX7 when I return to the US in 10 months.

maybe a stupid question, but why don't you just have someone ship your dx7 over to you??

We could, but it takes a month to get a new spektrum receiver etc., so the Futaba would be easier to get stuff for while we're over here. My LHS just doesn't carry Spektrum stuff, I'm not sure why.

yea, but how ofetn do you blow a receiver? the odds of something going wrong with the transmitter/receiver are pretty slim.

Anyone seen the SJM 180? I'm thinking of getting another 200~class heli and it's between the Align 250 and the SJM. I'd like to get both, but I don't think I can afford to maintain both...! The SJM is being sold for $180 with motor/esc. How much is the Align 250 going for? Any thoughts?

it looks like a nice little heli, but I would go for the align just for parts availability.

I don't think anybody really knows yet, but a "qualified guess" would be less than, or equal to, what the Gaui 200 costs today. Definitely not more.

Again, the prise of the heil itself is only "half the truth". What you put in - servos, receiver and gyro is the other half.

I am more interested to know if I can fly it with my 850mAh 2s packs from my Gaui 200.

What happens when I get a new heli, or plank? I have to wait to wait a month for on of the most crucial parts of the heli/plank. I'm not even sure what we're gonna do yet.

Speaking of the SJM-180, Flying-Hobby has a poll on the right had side of their homepage asking if you would buy an SJM-180GF or SJM-180CF or if you were interested in this kind of heli at all. It might be a good idea to vote 'yes' because if enough people vote yes, then flying-hobby will probably carry it and flying-hobby is a reputable dealer where we could get parts etc. Here's the link: SJM-180 poll (http://flying-hobby.com/catalog/index.php).

yes, that makes sense I suppose, but you could always just swap the receiver from one plane to the other.

Ya, it keeps looking better and better. Can't wait to hear some feed back on it from actual consumers. That 6.cn website has quite a few sjm180 videos. It looks cool.

It looked like it wasn't even phasing it. I don't think my gaui could fly that well in that much wind, but then again thats probably because i'm the one flying it.

Too bad some of us US guys can't get our hands on one. Sure would help the SJM market around here. I say we bribe Cuzz. Maybe we can have Rotorhead train him and parachute him in on a Black Ops mission?

Wow, I just talked to fung a couple hours ago. That's Scott Booth's site from RC-TEK. I know they're both distributors but I'm surprised Fung would direct traffic to the US distributor. Cool stuff anyway you look at it

Do we have any preview or other information on that little bugger?

I am pretty darn close to click on "add to chart" without even knowing it. :banana
