How large a rotor head can a predator turbine handle safely? (assuming you lenghten the tail boom accordingly)

Hey,
BellBlokes run a set of rotor blades 850mm long from memory all ok.
Myself I run 800mm mains which is a nice size that compensates for the added weight of the Turbine nicely.

Hi,
can anyone tell me what parts are needed to use 800+ main blades on the predator... I'm looking at the century website and I'm thinking I'd need to get:
- condor torque tube
- condor boom
is that it? Not a bad investment for around $50.00?
Thanks.

Hey,
Yep that's it, all you need really are the Condor boom & tube drive to run 800+ blades all ok and an extra set of boom supports to brace the long, thin walled boom.
You may also like to consider the tail speed up gears as running longer mains will mean you'll run less head speed and in turn have less tail power as it to will be running slower.
Only other upgrade I always mention on the Predators is the metal elevator A arm, small price to pay for extra strength/security where it matters the most and adding a Turbine does add extra weight the airframe needs to haul around the sky.
