Hi all,

Just a quick question if I may, just got my new BC-6 and have tried to hook up to computer (Xp sp2).
I don't believe that the software has installed/is installing the required driver, when it has installed e-station software it then asks to install CP210xUSB to UART BRIDGE CONTROLLER DRIVER SET.

When I click to install it comes up with ERROR COPYING DRIVER FILE then the location.

Also when I try to install driver from CD it has error message:ERROR COPYING DRIVER FILE SLABUNIN.EXE to C/Progfiles/silabs/mcu/CP210X

When all the cabling is hooked up the USB circuit board has two LED’s one steady amber the other flashing red?

Anyone had the same problem? Know the fix?

BTW I'm not shouting just trying to show the computer error text.

Cheers

Barry

Sorted it, I had to go into the control panel > system > hardware > device manager > ports (com& lpt) all while charger is connected to computer via USB, then I went to properties of the UART Bridge Controller then port settings then to Advanced, I then changed the COM port number from COM10 to COM2.

When I opened e-station the yellow traffic light was flashing, hooked a battery up and Bingo just like magic!

I did go to the bantamtek.com website and checked out the software install PDF which is what put me onto the COM port number thing.

Hopefully another lesson learned, many thanks for your help Evan, I was about to give up on it!

Thanks again!

Barry

How are you using the software? I purchased it, but I haven't had a chance to try it out. It was more for fun and to get some hands-on, to see the discharge curves on my 3S lipos.

Hi,

Thousand apologies only just seen your post.

BC-6 working fine as is e-software good to see how battery charges and good record of what’s happening.

Image attached showing charge of two new batteries I bought just running in on charge 4 & 5 respectively.

Charge seems to drop of after five minutes and comes straight back on guessing it’s a testing cycle it does it every time.

Hope you’re finding it interesting I guess you’ll have it up and running now.

Cheers
