My first heli was a Raptor 50 w/ OS50 eng. I've been flying a year and half now and have taken my time learning to hover in all orientations and know I am into forward flight. When I was praticing nose-in hover I crashed the raptor. I pretty much destroyed the head, frame and tail. In my efforts to get back in the air I took a shortcut for cost cutting reasons only. Gohbee advertised replacement parts cheaper than Thunder Tiger and went to their head assembly. My question, I am still learning and I will crash many more times, some have mentioned to go to CNC because of the slop free and durability. I have found three that I am looking at:

Quick World Wide offers a Head and Tail combo for $229.99 which seems to be the best deal for the money. I have heard of some customer service issues with Quick World Wide.

Heliproz sells a Maverick Head only with all CNC parts other than the hoops for $179.99. Not a bad deal either.

Then there is Quick UK which has a head assy for 222.99 but the grip are not CNC and I am not sure what else is not CNC.

Can anyone share their experience with any of these products.

All of the parts in the this picture are CNC and that is the head assembly that sells for $222.99. Also Quick UK offers the parts in a few different colors. Red is just what they have in the adds.

I've seen several of the Mavvrick heads, and they seem to be of good quality.

There is also a Gohbee all metal head at a good price.
I've crashed mine twice and only damaged shafts and bearings.

Complete Head (http://www.gohbee.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=GB109&Category_Code=1100)

or since you already have a Gohbee head there is a metal upgrade kit.

Steer clear of the QWW stuff Tony. You will be glad you did.

My crew has used the ThunderTiger, Maverik, and Quick UK heads. They held up in the following order:

TT Head, Blade Grips wore out really quick and event bent on there own after a case of fuel.

Maverik head started off a little loose and wore moderately well

Quick UK started off the tightest and remain tight after 6 cases of fuel when I sold the heli. I believe the individual I sold the heli to is still running that same head, all he has changed out are the dampeners.

Of coarse a crash will put a damper on any of the heads and your mileage my vary. If your not thrashing the heli to death the plastic head will do you just fine.

Well guys, thanks a bunch. I was going to order all plastic parts and may a cnc head button and washout assy. When the bill came to $190 with the extra parts in the order I couldn't do it. I broke bown and ordered the cnc maverick head assy. With new 80 duro dampners and shaft bearings the total was $199.00 Decisions, Decisions, Decisions. Can't do anthing with money, but spend it. I hope I made the right decision.

Thanks again for the advice from all of you.
