OK fellas! I'm posting this as a courtesy to my club and its officers....Last February, we hosted an unofficial HeliFreak Invasion at our flying field as the result of Chris Bergen posting some video of our field taken from a Bergen Observer. We had 24 registered pilots coming from as far as Alexandria, Va.!!! It was a good two day event! My club wants to make it an annual event, and I too would like to see more action at our field, but, due to my schedule for '06 and forward, I cannot devote the time I'd like to make this happen as well as last year or even better. So, what I'm asking of everyone, especially anybody within reasonable driving distance... "If you have any interest in having a HeliFreak Warm Up to Birmingham Invasion at our field, please let my club's officers know by submitting a reply to www.henrycountyrcclub.com or better to mes57@bellsouth.net and reference the HeliFreak Invasion.
Thanks,
Keith

You have to create an account to email from the site? I would be interested in going to the event!

I will most likely not be able to attend due to some personal health stuff I have going on in Jan, ( I WILL be there next year!!) but I would LOVE to see this become a full blown HeliFreak Invasion Keith. From what I heard you did an AWESOME job last year nad the event is deserving of a lot of support and participation of the FREAKS!!

Everybody come on out and support this Henry County Event!! :smokin: Is there a firm date set yet guys?

No date set yet, the club officers want to see if there's enough interest in the event first. Actually instead of going to the club webpage, email our treasure direct @
mes57@bellsouth.net and refer to the HeliFreak Invasion.
Thanks,
Keith

Keith,
Just my opinion. The only way to generate interest is to set dates for the event and have it. I know from experience it is hard to do. But I have found the best way is to just set the dates and see if pilots show up. I don't think asking if there is interest is going to do any good. Been there and done that.

Good advice there Dave! I'll definitely pass it on to the powers that be and see what comes back. Thanks Will, I suppose you meant to our treasurer? I will suggest Feb. 18/19 which is dead in the middle between
Clintstone's B'Day Bash and Birmingham or the following weekend Feb. 25/26 which I can actually make. Thanks for the feedback guys!
