Here is simple tool to leveling your "OEM" Raptor 30/50 swashplate. It requires no levels.

Step 1:
With the "RADIO OFF" just place the Swashplate Leveling Tool between the top of the mainshaft collar and the bottom of the swashplate. Push down on the swashplate and it will automatically level the swashplate. Then check the paddles with appropriate paddle alignment gauge to ensure that the swashplate and the paddles are in proper alignment.

Step 2:
REMOVE the Swashplate Leveling Tool and turn on the radio and advance the collective to the full open position to allow the Swashplate Leveling Tool to be inserted between the mainshaft collar and the bottom of the swashplate. Remove the links to both the for and aft and the right and left cyclic controls. SLOWLY move the collective downward until the bottom of the swashplate just touches the Swashplate Leveling Tool (without binding). Make sure all the trims are neutral on both the for and aft and right and left cyclic controls. Next adjust all the removed links so that the Swashplate Leveling Tool and the swashplate are properly aligned. Reconnect all the links and make sure the alignment is still square with the Swashplate Alignment Tool. P.S. Make sure that the trims are set to neutral in all flight modes. Your swashplate and flybar paddles are now properly aligned.

Step 3:
Remove tool prior to flight.

Just something I thought you might enjoy.

The first (3) Raptor 30/50 Heli-Freaks "sending me a PM requesting a swashplate leveling tool" running the OEM swashplate and locking collar that live in the lower 48 (USA) are eligible for a "Free Tool". To be eligible for your "Free Tool". Drop me a PM.

Good Luck. I will announce the winners.

Just another advantage to being a Heli-Freak.

Check out my homepage/website for pictures and additional setup tools that I use to set up my OEM Raptors. Merry Christmas

I'll vouch for the usefulness of this tool!
I got a prototype, and have used it on several newbies' helis to confirm setup!

Way cool!
Very generous John! I know the lucky folks will get a lot of use out of them!
Merry Christmas!

Hi Wesley,

Thanks for the favorable comment.

I had a little incident the other day. The guys were saying lower, lower, lower. Needless to say, I kept following their instructions until I ran out of air. Ha Ha Well, I put the helicopter back together checked it with my tool and on the initial flight it required no trim and the blades tracked perfect.

The nice thing is that if you set your machine up and have a really good setup you can get back to that setup with minimal effort if the tool is used on your initial setup.

On a rebuild I just check any linkages for damage and replace any damaged ones and recheck for proper length with the "Vario tool" mentioned in the instructions.

Set the pitch in both blades to "O" like it was done on the original recommended setup with the Radio Off and the tool installed and the pitch setup is done.

Also, check the fly bar paddle alignment with the "Miniature Aircraft Paddle Gauge" mentioned in the instructions included with the tool

DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE THE TOOL BEFORE TURNING THE RADIO ON AND ATTEMPTING FLIGHT AS IT COULD DAMAGE RADIO EQUIPMENT OR CAUSE POSSIBLE INJURY OR HELICOPTER DAMAGE IF FLIGHT IS ATTEMPTED.

Enjoy you new tool.

Santa was good to me this year as he brought me good health, good friends and a great family.
