Bought G3, is improved from earlier versions, like the airports, but......

For example the sod farm, if I turn off all extra video stuff, clouds, shadows, trees, etc., I still get stuttering of the video with a helicopter worse than a plank.

I have an ATI Raedon 9600 card w/ 128 mb, liquid crystal screen, 400+ mhz P4, high speed USB port, a gig of ram. What am I doing wrong? I go to a few other fields, and it happens too, not a bad tho.

Next, does anyone know how to make me an EC145 for the simulator? Multi blade, flybarred options, turbine or gasser power? Sure would like to have one, I can provde a color scheme.
Thanks
Jack

sounds like you have a framerate problem or your vid card is getting hot. check the fan on the card and make sure it is running and or try to optimise the settings in the card properties.

Have you updated your video drivers lately?

400+ mhz P4

The cpu is most likely the bottleneck.
I am running G3 on a 3.06 P4, 1gig ram and a four year old NVidia 4600 (128mb) card. I have all the options turned on but some are set a bit lower. Runs fine at 16bit color for me. At 32bit I have to turn quite a bit off.
