So, not knowing enough about the different options..which do I want? OS 90 pumped? Non-pumped? What's the difference anyway?

Or do I go YS? it seems expensive - and expensive usually means GOOD :)

I'm a total newb to nitro but I will add my .002c. Got my 700 last week, put in the YS with no problems. Set the needles to the manuals recommendations and much to my surprise it fired right up and flew fantastic. Finished my first gallon this evening with it still running what I would consider rich and no problems yet. Just my opinion with no experience with the other engines but the YS (at least mine) is simple and runs great out of the box for someone with little experience. Only slight issue was the funtech pipe melting my fuel tank but that is not YS's fault:dontknow.

+1 for the YS. Simple engine to run. No pumps, carb mods or anything. Just fuel and go! Was also my first nitro.

Not expensive... $319 plus free priority shipping. Ordered Sat night and it shipped first thing Mon morning!

YS
Great power out of the box. No need to buy modified heads or carbs to make it run proper IMO. Smooth too. My 91ST in my Rex700 which is reported to be not as smooth as the SR, is like silk. I can't wait to try my 91SR in my Aurora :).

the YS I believe is as cheap or cheaper than alot of OS motors in the 91 class. That may have changed with the new Align/OS HZ/HP motors, but tbh I'm not interested in buying a motor, regulator, and hoping it runs well. My YS for me was a HUGE and pleasent surprise.

I've been pleasantly surprised how easy to setup and run my two OS non-pumped 91SZ have been (compared to the 50s). Correct pipe makes a huge difference. I've just ordered the new Align badged OS (http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=HE90H02) and that looks good too :)

I also chose the Align OS .91 motor identical to the OS .91HZ F3C motor. Haven't fired it up yet though. Pairing that up with the Hatori SB18FH I am thinking it will pack some punch.

Bought a used OS 91 SZ for $50 from a friend at the field! How can you beat that?
