Default Help setting up Stock Head

I am having some difficulties with my stock head. I changed radio to Futaba 6EX.

When giving collective my flybar moves a bit from front to back depending on how much collective I give.

I watched Bob's videos and it appears that maybe I should adjust the endpoint on elevator? Does that make sense? Is the flybar supposed to move a bit when giving collective?

It does fly but it is all ove rthe place and the controls feel VERY slow delayed.

Hi. The flybar will move when you give collective. When you give collective does the swashplate move up the shaft evenly? I use a swashplate leveller to adjust my endpoints and make sure that the swash stays level throughout it's travel.

However, if you are experiencing sluggish response and the heli is all over the place then you may find that the oval plastic links (that the blade holder sits in the middle of) are actually catching slightly when you are giving collective which has a massive effect on the response of the heli.

Check out this mod which resolves it and makes the heli much more stable....

Ouch...hope it didn't hurt to much!

It made sense to me, but TBH I have no knowledge of that Tx!!

You may also be able to adjust EXPO or exponential, as this can change the sensitivity of your AIL/ELEV stick's and rudder around the middle-stick positions. I think +ve expo is less responsive, and -ve expo is more responsive (please correct me if it's the wrong way), but if you try changing at -5% increments, you won't get too much of a change that you can't handle it, and it should improve the reaction time.

Also, check for loose screws on the head and threadlock em all in, if not done so already!

Did you reset the throttle range on your ESC too? This could give either too much or too little throttle. You could suffer from low head speed, or too much head speed as result (I beleive) and you should reset it everytime you change the TX or ESC.

But try watching finless bob's setup vid again just before you change the endpoints and it should help you figure it out.

Last thought...Maybe you can copy the model settings like on the spektrum tx's, so you can take a back up of the setting's before you change any??
