Are the specs for the weights (with wire) accurate from the Outragerc.com and Helidirect.com sites for the different batteries?

20C 2200mAh = 166g
25C 2200mAh = 168g
30C 2200mAh = 183g
35C 2200mAh = 199g

It doesn't seem like the 20C lite version gets you any weight savings over a 25C.

I just had the warehouse re-weigh all of these batteries and this is what I received back...

20C 2200mAh - 166g
25C 2200mAh - 177g
30C 2200mAh - 190g
35C 2200mAh - 201g

This is the current stock of batteries we have...the batteries do seem to change by a couple of grams or so in each batch of batteries that are made...I have corrected the weights on the Helidirect.com Website...dont know how to do it on the OutrageRC website...or I would have made changes there also...

hoipe this helps...

Thanks for the update Greg. That gives me a new perspective. I'll probably order a 20C and 25C as a test since I like a light flying T450 and the FP EVOlites (V2) were working ok but losing some punch after 50 flights.

Based on reports I've been hearing I should be able to expect more flights with less loss of punch on the Outrage packs, right?

Next up is a 6S 5000mAh.

I hope you wiil see more than 50 flights! That is not many at all on a 450 pack...there was a time I could do that in a week or two! LOL...

I think you will like the packs...please let us know if you don't..and it you do! :D

Just ordered the 25C from Helidirect. I normally break my lipo packs in by cutting my flight time in half and them ramping up from there for the first 4 or 5 flights. Is there any preference to breaking in the Outrage packs?

no, as far as I am aware there is no guidance from Outrage on run in, I believe I saw a post saying just bung em in and run em. I personally do two light flights then fly as I would normally.

Pretty much the guidance I've seen so far is fly the snot out of them. Beyond that, basic general lipo care should be exercised for maximum performance and longevity.

Just received the battery today and hope to have Deans connectors on tonight and flights tomorrow. Will report back.

Just ran 3 flights through the batteries and they seem like they have a lot of punch.

Granted I only ran them for 3:00 and 3:30 but there is a lot of power there. To be honest though, one of my FP EVOlite V2 3S 2100 felt about the same for the first 20 - 30 flights while the other always felt less. Since I'm still breaking in the Outrage pack, I'll give a more detailed report after several more flights but so far it looks like I'll get a few more packs since the lifetime seems better than the FP from the reports I've been reading.

Also, the weight of the 25C 3S 2200 feels about the same as my FP EVOlite V2 (20C) but I'll weigh them next week and let you know the exact difference. That is another bonus to be able to get 25C at a 20C weight.

Ran a few more flights through the pack this weekend and it seems to have even more power after the first breakin flights.:) Now my problem is there not being enough tail authority when trying piroing moves with high pitch change. The motor holds its head quite speed well now and I could probably tic-toc a whole flight. The battery is only slightly warm at the end.

Looks like I'll pick up another 25C, a lite version for my plane, and a 6S 5000.

BTW - I think my TC needs to be turned down a bit since it was moved up for some older packs. Not sure what my HS is but guessing around 3300 - will tach it next time.

 I take it that's a typo and you meant 2300... ;)

No, its right. I'm running these packs on my T450 with a Scorpion HK-2221-8 / 13T.

That would be a site to see with my Logo running at 3300.:wow2: Hmmm, 490 mph tip speed should make it move fast.

Bruce you are saying the Logo 5003D with Spartan DS760 not enough tail authority? What tail blades dude? I run MAH 90mm and they work great at high stress loads to. ;)

No, I'm talking about my Trex450. With the Outrage packs my headspeed is running around 3300+ and sudden pitch changes cause my tail to not hold. Maybe if I ran a Spartan on my T450 it would be better.;)

Oddly enough I do not find the Spartan to work real good on 450s, doesen't seem to be enough mass on the heli, a 401 believe it or not seems to work better. Weird I know.... :o

Spartan is rock solid on the G5 with a Futaba 9257 tail servo

Just ordered another 25C 2200mAh 3S pack as well as two XP25 1800 3S packs for my airplane. Also, the 1800s should work great in parallel with the AJ Slick I'm planning on.

Got the 3S 2200 and (2x) 3S 1800 packs the other day. Only had time to wire up one of the 1800 packs and run it on my Eflite Taylorcraft. It has much more climbout power than my FP Evolite 3S 2100 pack so I think its a winner.

Now I just need to start putting the cycles on them. Oh ya, I probably need to also get the 6S 5000 pack for my Logo now that my Scorpion motor is hammering the FP packs.

5 minutes taking 3500MAH. I am sport flier, tic toc/rainbows bit climbout and loops.
I get heavy on the collective though
