Bought my X9303 just before Christmas last year. A few weeks ago, I charged the Tx battery and went to the field. Turned on the Tx and immediately got a low voltage warning. Thought I just hadn't seated the charge plug fully and tossed in the battery from my DX7.
Took the radio to IRCHA and charged it each night I was there so no problem. Got it back from IRCHA last week and when I turned it on, the voltage was down to 8.8v. No way it should be that low since it was well over 10v when I shipped it home.
Plugged it into the charger yesterday morning and took it off this morning. A tick over 11V on the display. Was messing around with the Tx for about 20 mins working on an odd gyro issue and voltage held fine. Put it aside for about 3 hours and just picked it up to do some sim time... 8.9v.. WTF??
Gonna toss in the DX7 pack and see if it does the same thing, but now I'm kinda wondering if something is goofy with the Tx itself....

Definitely something suckin' the battery down.... Stuck the pack from my DX7 in and let it sit 4 days. Down to 8.8v... Put the original pack in and let it sit for 5 days.. 8.6v Something is draining the packs while the radio sits.... The DX7 doesn't do this..

Have you done the mod to fix the wire that rubs on the regulator? I'm presuming your radio is 2.4G.
Wonder if something is shorting out around that mod?

Yeah, something is wrong. Mine holds the voltage for months.

Yeah, did the mod, but had no exposed copper and it was doing it before I opened it up.

Something don't sound right. The power will remove connection from the battery to the circuit when it's off. Maybe some moisture got in and bridge some of the connections near the switch and/or the charge plug.

It could be bad batt.
Disconnect the batt and measure resistance on the batt leads on the tx. It should be an open circuit.

Why would the symptoms occur with both packs in the X9303 and not in the DX7?

Let me ask this, do you use the trainer port for anything? I found some odd things happening when I switch models while the trainer cord is plugged in.
For instance, I power on with no connections, changed model type to fly on the computer, pluged in the trainer port, scratched head while computer wouldn't respond, did a face palm when I realized I still had main power switch on, flipped power switch off (to make Tx the slave) and proceeded to virtually fly. At completion of 'play time' I pulled the trainer cord. Next morning the battery was nearly dead. Its like the screen shut down, but the transmitter stayed active..
I also want to blame some model setting corruption on chaning models while trainer cord plugged in, but I haven't been able to reproduce that phenomenon yet. (Mostly because I don't want to go there again, and now I only change model type while trainer cord is removed. Once I'm happy with everything, I turn of the Tx, then plug the trainer cable which power the Tx back up..
Of course, ignore all the above if you don't ever stick anything in your trainer port.. :thinking

S The power will remove connection from the battery to the circuit when it's off.
Actually, it's a soft switch ... so off to Horizon it goes?
Yours may meet mine there, I have full range power output but my range check is about 15' ??

Only time I use the trainer port is when I sim. I haven't done any sim work in well over a month - probably closer to two - and I have plugged the cord in while the Tx was powered up.
I think it's time to ship it back 'cuz I charged the thing for Buzzin' last Friday night, flew a few times and chucked the Tx back in it's case. Opened it up last night to work on a 450 and the thing powers up with a low voltage beep..
