Im working on figuring out which gear I want to use. The question I have is on the Hacker where is the best place to take the temp from so I can avoid cooking the motor?

My ION motor seems to run about the same temp anywhere I check it. I would guess that the center of the can would be the hottest, as it has no where to heat sink to.

In the past, the bottom end of that motor always ran the hottest...probably because that is where the heat transfers through and the bearing itself. Don't get it over 180 F.
