It happened today - my new aurora went in! I am adding up the repair and it is not nearly as bad as I expected...but some important parts I need are not in stock at heliproz - like the torque tube crash kit - does anyone have all the parts in stock?
also I am going to install the multigovpro during the rebuild...does anyone know where to get the temp sensor? I ordered the spectrum crank case sensor from Horizons website - not in yet but at ircha they said it would be out in a couple of weeks....
Thanks

I was told by Aerospire that the sensor from the Carbsmart works with the Multigov (same sensor). So you can order a spare Carbsmart sensor.

Bob's right, you can use the carbsmart temp sensor, but I think it's more expensive than the Aerospire. (just checked, the CSM sensor is about $10, the Aerospire is about $6).

Not sure about where to get parts, mine are grounded until my motors come in.

John at RC-direct.com has been pretty reliable with parts. I'm trying to get you a link, but right now it's not coming up.
RC-Direct has the Torque Tube Crash Kit in stock www.rc-direct.com Aurora parts page 7, 6th item down. Hope you get it back in the air soon!

Other than the TT itself, what does the crash kit contain? Also, a cursory glance at rc-direct's website seems to indicate that their primary means of shipping is UPS. Is plain ol' Priority Mail an option?
I had an issue this past weekend that necessitated I purchase some new landing struts and I ordered from HeliProz and their default shipping is UPS too. Priority Mail was an option but it was with delivery confirmation added and it cost way more than I'm used to paying for such things so I went with UPS.

Delivery confirmation is $0.75
Landing gear struts would have been $4.80 to ship Priority Mail and 75 cents for delivery confirmation. Provided that was all that was in the box and it didn't weigh more than 1 pound/

That's what I would have thought but it would have cost me $19.24 for some reason. I posted my quandry in the main talk section. Hopefully, someone knows what's going on over there.
