Maybe we could organize all the the pictures onto this thread to make it easier to see them instead of having to sift through all the posts in previous threads. Anyone that got pics of it at ircha could also add them to this thread. With HC's, rotorworks, and anyone else who already has pics out may I copy them to over here?
Ok, here they are, all outrage g550 pics on helifreak-

you can find all the pictures together on the outrage-tuning blog, needs very little sifting www.outrage-tuning.com/blog
Additionally on Friday the 550 kit being used in the UK 3D champs will arrive, so we will be building that up, taking some piccies/video etc etc However, the full video build will be done with a production kit, so don't expect a build video at this point.

pictures are going on outrage-tuning, so already done ;-)
Here is a link to a Blog from a young man named Eric who was at IRCHA 2008. His page has dozens of photos from the event and near the bottom of the photo page is quite a few flight photos of the 550!
Eric is hosting all the photos to his own server space so it takes a minute or so to fully download but worth the wait as he has some excellent event photos!

One of the things that makes this heli so cool is the fact it runs on 6s 4200 or 6s 5000 Lipos. $279 for a high quality Lipo is awesome and the flight times are going to great! I would imagine if you ran 500mm blades for sport flying, you could get about 7 minutes of flight time. :)

im going 8s with a zpower motor that produces silly power on a trex 600 probably with 3700mah packs.
the 6s 5000 outrage packs are
* Continuous Discharge Rate: 25C
* MAX Discharge Rate: 50C
* Voltage: 22.2V
* Capacity: 5000mAH
* Size: 51x40x160 mm
* Weight: 745g (With Wire)
* Pack Configuration: 6S1P
* TP Balance Connector
£142.99
8s 3700
* Continuous Discharge Rate: 25C
* MAX Discharge Rate : 50C
* Capacity: 3700mAH
* Size : 60x45x140 mm
* Weight : 736g (With Wire)
* Pack Configuration: 8S1P
* Voltage: 29.6V
* TP Balance Connector
£134.99
the 8s 3700 is cheaper, lighter and has similar watt/hours so due to the increase in efficiency you get with higher voltage should produce more flight time.

Ya think there's a reason the "Team" hasn't bothered to test it on 8S :roll:

Ade...I would have to agree on the "overkill"...I brought 10 of our 8S 3700 packs and replacement pinions to IRCHA to have my Team try...but none of them felt the need to switch to 8S.

This heli will out perform any trex 600 on 6s. It has been introduced to the market as a 6s setup. No need for 8s. If that's the case , why not just fly a heavier 600 class heli. This is a 30 size electric.
We also have some 6s 25c 6000mah packs coming for us to try .
My next machine will be a 420mm size heli as i can't justify the cost of 600 size lipos but i will keep my eye out for this year next year.

So eloquently put, and a plethura of info to boot. figured I might use my nickle education for somthing more than just building heli's for Steven to tear up :lol:

Momma just educated Steven, that HE WILL NOT be flying the outrage 200 in the living room :wow2:
He got tied of chasing her around the house with the Picco-Z :happyd

Seems to be a testosterone battle going on here between the the "Kingdom" and the US. Why not just mount a nuclear powered fuel cell in the 550 and be done with it. I'm not sure, but I think the idea is too capture the best performance for the money - Perhaps this is why all the testing is being done with 6s and to provide great performance without having to "supercharge" the thing.
