Guys,

Just new to this, and looking through some other threads I still couldn't figure out what I need and what options, products etc are available to convert my Trex 500 to a flybarless setup.

Any suggestions or advice most appreciated.

Cheers,

Minskie :)

I got myself the SK360 gyro and Mikados flybarless conversion kit for Trex 500.

I will probably receive it next week, so I will give an update after I have installed the stuff.

Another good alternative is V-bar from Mikado, but I went for the SK360, because I have a Spartan gyro on my tail (I am happy with it) and I liked the idea that Finless and Fireup had good success with the SK360.

My conversion needs to cut two mixing arms and one extra main shaft collar

After reading all this, I'll try the SK360.

Thanks chaps.

quick question about the sk360, converting my 500 and got everything working and adjusting properly, my only question is when in setup mode and I move cylcic with tx the cyclic servos move fast like normal, but when I am in flight mode and I initialize everything up and move cyclic all movements in right way except it seems really slow movement not near as fast as when i move them in setup mode is this normal.

Yes, this is normal. In setup mode the sk360 is directly translating stick position into swash position, to make mechanical and mxing setup easier. In flight mode it is instead using a control algorithm that can be counter-intuitive at first, a bit like how a heading-hold tail gyro behaves.
