Has anyone seen or heard of some kind of perspex hinged flap cover to
protect the touch screen from rain if you get caught out.?

If you get caught in the rain. A hinged flap will only do so much to keep water out of the touch screen. In 2003 at the WC's in Japan. Len Sabato had a cover that would go over the whole transmitter. He could still have his hands under the cover and it not touch his hands.

That is Nob behind the screen <G> The raised places in the cover would be over the sticks. This allows plenty of room to operate the sticks and not notice the cover is even being used.
