I am about to set up the vbar, what advantage would using the vbar tail gyro over leaving it with the 401 (which i am happy with) thanks

Less weight, less complicated, and one less thing to go wrong in flight. After watching Bobby Smith do backwards hurricanes at 100mph with his flybarless mikados, I wouldn't worrry about the tail holding.

The vbar tail is a magnitude greater gyro then the 401. Funny thing is there is a button in the vbar software to make the tail mimic the feel of a 401. I can honestly say though after running Spartans and now the Vbar i have no desire to even press it.

So how does the Mikado Vbar gyro compare to the spartan? Right now, the only thing that would make me consider anything else than Mikado is if the Spartan gyro offers better performance.

I fly both V-bar ( Logo 6003D and 600N) and Spartan (700N). I can honestly tell you that nothing beats the V-bar tail gyro, it's the best I've ever tried.

Just wondering why don't you get a SK 360 in this case?

good point
a) its too late
b) felt the vbar was the best system

Spartan is a damn good gyro, never once had any reason to doubt it. Now that I have the Vbar on the same bird I can definately say there is a feeling difference. Not sure how to describe it and now that i've felt that it'd be interesting to play with the settings on my Trex600E that has a Spartan and see if it can be tweeked to feel the same.

It's said that vbar is more for 3D, and sk360 is more for scale, if you want to go 3D, vbar is second to none. think spartan is a very good feeling gyro, so can we just disable the gyro function in vbar and keep using the spartan at the same time?

I remember hearing you could add your own gyro but seems pointless. Fly a vbar tail and you won't be left wishing your Spartan was on there. Plus you'd be decoupling some of the advantages of having the tail and cyclic communicate with each other.

Will the tail and cyclic communicate with each other on v-bar and how they work? Could you give some detail thx

Yes they do communicate with each other. I have heard some say that it is technically better but in real life one may not notice the difference. Whether it's true or not I couldn't answer.
