Spartanburg Sky Knights Helicopter Fly In

April 1st, 2006 is the Spartanburg (SC) Sky Knights first ALL Helicopter event. Any and all gas, nitro or electric helicopters are welcome.
There is NO LANDING FEE, we are trying to promote the RC helicopter hobby in the Spartanburg area. Registration starts at 9 AM and flying starts by 9:30 AM and goes on until ?? Please consider joining us for a day to learn or to just have fun. Restrooms and concessions available.

Mostly MA parts and some fuel, a few Raptor parts and a handful of Century stuff..

I have no Idea what size crowd will be there? I wish I knew for sure? We expect about 15-20 of our regular Saturday morning guys. All of us have Raptors, but (Nellie Dog) Nelson. We all have T-Rex's of different levels.
I got 4-5 e-mails this week from people asking how to get to the field. They did not say if they were watching or flying?
We got the Hot Dogs ready for you.
We just want to make everyone feel welcome at our field.

Hey I just got back from The Sky Knights. What a great Fly in. Thanks a lot for the GREAT HOSPITALITY. Hope that this will become an annual event and grow to be a 3 day event in the future.

The Event was a blast!!! Great Friends, Fun, Food and Flying!! That was HOT!!

It was also great to see the Mooresville guys at the event. Really looking forward to Mooresville again this year!!

Great event !! The flying was incredible. The weather was so good I think I got sunburned. The pizza was a nice touch too. Outstanding !!

We got the onboard shots from Scott Mackey of Upstate Helicam in Greenville, he did a great job with his T-Rex camera in the wind. One of our guys has about 50 pics taken on the ground also. What is the best way to display them to the guys that were at the event? Gallery?

I put a few in my gallery already. We are going to try to make a CD of all the pics we can find. We will ask then who wants one?

Stay tuned, we got an all electric fly-in planned for June. Same field, same guys, format, etc., just all electrics.
