Shipping is an issue with alot of companies, fuel cost are so high.
Glad to see you got it worked out. Next time on small parts asked to have it mailed
USPS.

Ya, I always pad the order with more to make the shipping more worth it. If you can, order more parts at once and not one part at a time.

Yes, it's always the better thing to do. Look if you need more than just one piece before to order. It's a bigger problem for me because I live in Canada, province of Quebec. It's far of Century shop. But, i tried each time to optimise my order and I ask all time to ship my stuff by USPS. It's takes 7 business days to go to home.

I returned a metal swashplate to century for warrantee replacement and they refused delivery for $.02 postage due. That was a big disappointment. It didn't move me out of the darkside but it did slow me down. :?

I agree that Century rips people off when it comes to shipping. I have had this problem for years since I am at an APO box. Basically I learned to wait and only buy in bulks. I am also happy that Tower Hobbies is starting to supply their stuff. I save through Tower!!
As for products, they are not the smartest, customer friendly business, but their heli's are cheap and most products are really nice. I will always continue business with them, but with a little caustion. :badair:

Guys,

For me, I buy all of my pieces and héli kit of Century on Heli-world.com. I have returned one receiver on warranty so far, and I haven't any problem wi us. The stock is always on time delivery and I have a good service when the stock is back order. They call me to advise me and ask me if I want to wait about the stock are back ordered or ship immediately the stock they have already...

It's bad for you when we read your story about your order...

Where do you order your pieces of Century in majority of time?

I will order stuff from heli-world if I have more than 50 dollars worth of stuff to get their free shipping. If I have less than that I will try and get it from Rick's (ronlund.com). Rick's only charges actual shipping, but they don't carry everything century makes. I just picked up a raven feathering shaft (only thing I needed) from ricks, cost me a whopping $.63 shipping....

Just abut every company I know of (not just in R/C heli) that does mail order sales have a minimum shipping/handling cost.

Just go to the post office and consider you have a $7.00 item to send accross the country in a small box. I bet you will be surprised at what the cost will be.

That is why most experienced mail order buyers makes sure to verify what the shipping costs will be and/or insures that his order is big enough to justify the cost.
