Try the 6.4, then let me know

You're trying to convince me that my clutch has the same problem as yours, and I disagree.

If the fact that the caliber runs smooth has to do with the clutch, then explain how mine has always run smooth, if the clutch is "bad"?

Chris, did I say anything about a problem?Don't be so touchy, I just wanted you and others to notice the trend... Thats all..Have we not talked about this before together? Nobodys is perfect, and not all the problems have the same clues

Centurys clutch has done just fine, its only a option unless you have a Condor.. Look at the feedback on RR, and here... My complaints are my own, to better improve the gassers in general, more to the hard 3D, and heavy lifting...

Concerning your 26
I can make any gasser smooth with any clutch, but thats me... I assume your machine knows your touch as well...The real proof is how is the average guy doing out there in the real world:) Now there is the proof...
I'll skip "all the Rep's" remark:)

Ah, Touche!! And yes we have discussd it, with the same conclusion.....

My reply was to this,

"Just proves my point....Did you hear that Chris bergen?") "

As far as the "all the reps" remark, Im kind of going through a similar situation with a new item we are testing at the moment, and having to make enough for "All the reps" to get one for testing!! But you wouldn't have known that with the way my post reads.....

:( The funny part was supposed to be "Made in China" :dontknow

:D :D

What brand of fuel is everyone running and what oil and mixture rate? I want to get the most I cand get out of this motor. Looking to run 710's and about 1750 or 1800 on the head speed. Any good thoughts on gear ratios.

Oh you guys will see it. I had another member over last night looking at some of the footage in the editor and he said something to the effect, "This DVD is gonna be awesome!"

Rodney,

I'm running plain old 87 octane fuel from the pump with a generic full-synthetic oil at 40:1. I just go to the local Hell Despot and buy whatever full-synthetic they're selling in a 2.6 oz bottle.

As for the gear ratio, you should find out what RPM your engine makes its peak torque/HP at and go from there. So, for example, if you're peaking at 11,500 RPM on the engine and want an 1800 head speed, you'll need a 6.4:1 ratio.

It got some really good flights on it at B-Ham. Got some more gasser training from Bill Meader while I was there. I think the P-Gasser really showed itself very well.
In the hands of a few pilots it really rocked.

We got some video of Rodney's and Bill Meaders gassers at B-Ham, I hope to have it posted soon.

I was impressed at how well they flew!!

Rodney, that video was awesome. What gear ratio, head speed, engine and blades did you end up with? Looks like your combo works well. :noteworthy

The gear ratio is 6:92. 13 tooth and 90 tooth. The blades are 700 mm rotortechs.
Fuel is Colman with 2 ounces of Amsoil 100 to 1 syn. head spped is 1860. on GV1 with Stator gator.

Rodney,

My Pred Gasser SE has a Hansen mod 26, not the extreme mod but the stock mod he does to smooth it out. AGRAV8 flew it last time he was down. I'll probably bring it to Mayday and you can fly it there if you want.
