So, You've built the heli and you are installing the radio/electronics and want to know how the other guys are doing it?

Spend time to familiarize yourself with your radio, and/or the radio's manual so you can perform the following list of actions;
(Using a Heading Hold Gyro?) Disable the revolution mixing.
Zero all sub-trim settings,
Center ALL trims, knobs and sliders,
Enable the idle-up function,
Enable the throttle hold function,
Select the proper swash type for your heli,

Now it's time to power up your Reciever and plug in servos;

Remember this is a generic setup. Control types vary, but the basics are the same for all setups.

With all trims centered, try all wheels or arms to achieve a 90 degree angle from the servo wheel to the linkage it connects to. Use different combinations of wheels, and rotate them until you find the 'spot' where your linkage meets this criteria.

Now all the servos are setup, it's time to install the links connecting them to the swashplate, and move yourself up the mainshaft to the head.
First and foremost, you NEED a level swashplate.
Adjust the linkages to achieve this at mid-stick. We'll adjust the high and low stick positions with AFR or ATV, depending on your radio.
Install the links to the lower mixing arms and adjust to have them level at mid-stick. This is a very important step!
Here's where we jump ahead a little then back up to confirm our setup;
You will need to install the blades and grab your pitch gauge.
With the transmitter still at mid-stick, and the blades fore/aft, make adjustments to achieve ZERO pitch on both blades.
Now confirm that we are still at mid-stick, and the mixing arms are level.
If everything is still within the tolerances detailed above, we can move on to setting the pitch range, both high and low.
