Attached tailbox onto boom as per manual & inserted TT fully. However only about 8mm of the end protrudes out of the boom. This means about 6mm inserts into the front umbrella gear yet this is only like half way into that gear! How come it doesn't insert fully like on the 600's? And is this enough engagement for flying?? Anyone else notice this?

Not that it's likely (as the rubber bearing housings are a tight fit) but means the 700 TT could 'walk' approx 6mm back & forth inside the boom while flying.

your boom isn't seated all the way

It is common practice to seat the boom all the way forward, then back it out 1 or 2 MM to keep the tube from being "pushed" from both ends enough to "bow" and vibrate.

So, if you aren't fully in the gears, something ain't right somewhere.

Are you sure the "slot" in the boom aligned with the "tab" in the block?

loosen the 2 allens that go into the frame at the rear of the tail block then slide the boom ALL the way in its not a 600n. I had the same problem at first the 2 allens hold the opening closed loosen them and it will be easy.
