Where is a good place to get blades for my XCell 60? I bought a wrong set of wooden blades (they are for a Raptor 60).

I'm not looking to dump a whole lot of money on them, cause I expect to dump a couple more times while I'm learning.

Ray at RHR can get you the HeliMax line of blades, just let him know what length, and he'll get 'em to you.
Not the bestest, or most expensive, but they are serviceable.

Anyone know what the turnaround time is on email response?

Ray does check his email, but I think he prefers to talk to his customers and help them make the better choices.
Early in the day, or early evening is usually best 912.682.3197

He mentioned Rappy blades, but I have a set of Raptor 60 blades (I think) and they don't fit in my blade holders on the head.

Clay,
You will need blades that are 14mm thick on the root. You can also use 12 mm thick roots with a 1 mm spacers on both sides the blade.

You don't specify which X-Cell 60 you have. But if it is an older model with a 30 inch tail boom, 660 mm blades is longest that will work. If you have the 31.5 inch tail boom you can use up to 690 mm with 105 mm tail blades.

If the blades from the Raptor have 12mm roots, they will work in the MA grips. You just need 1mm spacers on the top and bottom of each blade. I use blades with 12mm roots in my MA helis.

These roots are thick though. I'd have to measure to be sure. But when I tried to put the roots into the blade holders on the head, it wouldn't fit. If you were to try to make them fit, you'd have to flex the blade holders considerably.

Previously, I had fiberglass blades on there with washers on the top and bottom of the blade between it and the holder on the head (assuming that's the spacers). Previous blades were 680mm (I think, I'll have to measure again to be sure).

I can go to "a" hobby shop to get new blades, but it's an hour+ drive. I'm hoping I can find someplace online to purchase these bad dogs in bulk :)
